The emergence of the mobility macro trend has accelerated the adoption of ACES (Autonomous, Connected, Electrified, and Shared) functionality and incorporated many facets into our daily lives. Social, environmental, and technology will shape mobility choices and define brand loyalty. Coatings technologies will play a critical role in enabling the safety, sustainability and performance of new mobility platforms. This presentation will provide an overview of the expansive market opportunities and enabling attributes of coating technologies for powertrain, vehicle construction, interior, and safety.
Peter Votruba-Drzal, is the global technical director, automotive OEM, industrial coatings and mobility for PPG. He is responsible for the global research and product development activities, executing and leveraging increased platform synergies to accelerate delivery of market advantaged products and new business. Peter joined PPG in 2005, after a one year post-doctoral position at Northwestern University and two years as a materials researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. He has served in multiple technical and technical management roles during his PPG career. Peter holds a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering.
